The first movie I ever remem­ber see­ing was the ani­mat­ed Alice in Won­der­land. We went right after my 4th birth­day. I remem­ber the theater—it’s near one of my Aunt Bet’s favorite shoe stores and (scan­dalous­ly!) a bar. I won­der if it’s still there?

What’s the first movie you remem­ber see­ing? The­ater or at home? How old were you?

Of course, with the advent of VHS and DVDs, I doubt any­one in Katie’s gen­er­a­tion will be able to answer that ques­tion. But I know the first movie she paid atten­tion to was Milo and Otis, when she was just about 4 months old.
