These are pictures of my finished version of the Wisdom & Harmony Sampler published by StitchWorld, a wonderful piece from Sharon Pope that was apparently first published in Stitchery Magazine. The designer states that it is based on Asante Adinkra symbols, although I haven’t done the research to find out if the symbols represented in the sampler really correspond to the traditional ones. I find the symbols fascinating. The colors are simple and wonderfully bold, too. I finished this one in 1999.
