I just had a lovely date with my man for the first time in quite a while.
First, we went to Home Depot to look at flooring. Okay, not everyone’s idea of a good time, but we had fun and took some things off the to-do list. I’m told I was flirting with the sorta-cute guy in the lumber department.
Then we went to Borders. For us, going to a bookstore isn’t necessarily about getting books as much as the experience of being there. Again, a good time.
We went to Steak & Shake, then I decided I wanted to go to IHOP instead. sambear is such a sweetie. There was no hesitation, no annoyance at all regarding my impulsivity.
IHOP has a Country-Western thing going on. Our impression of one of the decorations was, I believe, very different from what they intended. sambear will be posting a picture in a bit to demonstrate.
We had our meals and continued gaming (which we’d been doing since leaving home), then drove home.
Here we are again, happy and full and together. Life is good.
