I just had a love­ly date with my man for the first time in quite a while. 

First, we went to Home Depot to look at floor­ing. Okay, not every­one’s idea of a good time, but we had fun and took some things off the to-do list. I’m told I was flirt­ing with the sor­ta-cute guy in the lum­ber department.

Then we went to Bor­ders. For us, going to a book­store isn’t nec­es­sar­i­ly about get­ting books as much as the expe­ri­ence of being there. Again, a good time.

We went to Steak & Shake, then I decid­ed I want­ed to go to IHOP instead. sam­bear is such a sweet­ie. There was no hes­i­ta­tion, no annoy­ance at all regard­ing my impulsivity. 

IHOP has a Coun­try-West­ern thing going on. Our impres­sion of one of the dec­o­ra­tions was, I believe, very dif­fer­ent from what they intend­ed. sam­bear will be post­ing a pic­ture in a bit to demonstrate.

We had our meals and con­tin­ued gam­ing (which we’d been doing since leav­ing home), then drove home.

Here we are again, hap­py and full and togeth­er. Life is good.
