For the last few years, sambear and I have avoided deciding which of our families gets our company at Thanksgiving by staying home and having friends join us here. I think it’s officially A Tradition as of this year.
He makes a good turkey and a few other dishes, and other folks bring whatever their favorite dish is. Things are pretty informal since we don’t have a dining room and can’t fit everyone at the kitchen table, but so far they’ve been very good. We might play a game of some sort, we might not. Music could happen (I hope it does). There’s no TV on, so if you’re a football nut this isn’t the place to be. And there are always kids around. Good conversation is pretty much guaranteed.
