Birthday Boy

R’s birth­day par­ty is back on. I may have tak­en leave of my sens­es, but a few hours ago I told sam­bear that since I am feel­ing some­what bet­ter and I don’t think I’m con­ta­gious (or that Katie is), we might as well go ahead. The boy is very hap­py, of course, and Katie is bounc­ing around. G chose to go spend the night with her friend any­way, but that isn’t nec­es­sar­i­ly a bad thing—she prob­a­bly would­n’t have real­ly par­tic­i­pat­ed much any­way. So by 7 pm, there will be a horde of teens here.
