Rivka post­ed more infor­ma­tion this morn­ing on the Abu Ghraib sit­u­a­tion. I don’t remem­ber hear­ing a damned thing about Dyn­Cor­p’s employ­ees pur­chas­ing girls (as young as 12) and women in Bosnia to use as sex slaves. I was­n’t read­ing blogs at the time, so that’s prob­a­bly why. (And that’s a pret­ty stark exam­ple of why depend­ing on the main­stream news just isn’t enough).

pat­greene cit­ed legal code about tor­ture that makes it very clear that mil­i­tary con­trac­tors CAN be pros­e­cut­ed for the tor­ture at Abu Ghraib.
