I looked at the Livejournal Analasys thing lots of people are doing. But, um—does that misspelling drive anybody else totally apeshit? I really just can’t handle it. And I can’t quite see that the information is serving much of a purpose—or it wouldn’t for me, anyway.
There’s also the fact that the author hasn’t taken into account the number of communities and RSS feeds a person reads. While the communities are reflected in the “friends of” figure (if you join instead of just watching them), the RSS feeds are not. If you read quite a few of them to keep up with news headlines and such, your friends list numbers get very skewed.
So anyway, I’m not putting anyone who has done that thing down, but I don’t think I’ll be doing it. And I probably shouldn’t have mentioned it, but those two problems were just bugging me a lot.
