It’s funny

…what you can consider peaceful. There are a half-dozen teens in the next room with sambear playing Vampire. This is a cozy evening at home for us.

I chose not to hide out in the bedroom this time, but to stay in the kitchen at the table, which doubles as my “desk.” I need to go through a bunch of papers and clear them out. I like hearing them play, anyway. I feel more connected this way.

It’s amusing to hear how much these kids have grown up since they started playing D&D in our basement about seven years ago. Their personalities were already much as they are now, but there are things that are so very different in ways that I can’t explain to people who don’t know each one of them. It’s wonderful.
