It’s run by a (now returned) sol­dier’s fam­i­ly who were shocked to see how thin and dirty their son and his com­rades had got­ten when he final­ly sent pic­tures to them.

There’s a sec­tion with requests direct­ly from the sol­diers about what their units need, with the ship­ping info.

They have a com­pan­ion site where you can just pay for pre­made care pack­ages.

There’s a good news sto­ry about it on CNN.

I’m think­ing about pick­ing up a big box of jerky or pack­ages trail mix or some­thing like that each time we go to Sam’s Club or Cost­co, then ship­ping that to them.

Some of them say they’d be hap­py to get let­ters, so take a look even if you don’t have mon­ey to spend.

I don’t care if you sup­port the war or not (I don’t)—supporting the sol­diers is anoth­er thing alto­geth­er. Enlist­ed men’s pay rates are scan­dalous­ly low.
