Memory Foam Odors?

sam­bear bought a Temp­so­ma mem­o­ry foam pil­low for me. I love it—except for the smell. I just could NOT han­dle the chem­i­cal smell, and Febreeze and the like did­n’t help.

I washed it accord­ing to the man­u­fac­tur­er’s direc­tions, just adding lots of Febreeze for laun­dry. That took care of the smell, but now the pil­low won’t dry out com­plete­ly! I mean, after WEEKS. Of course, this is in nasty Atlanta humid­i­ty, but still!

The pil­low FELT great, though. We’re talk­ing about buy­ing anoth­er one and a mat­tress topper—IF we can fig­ure out some way to get rid of the smell.

Sug­ges­tions?

I tried to find con­tact info for the man­u­fac­tur­er but haven’t man­aged that quite yet (fibro fog). I’m still looking.
