New Diagnosis

I saw my rheumatologist on May 29. She said she couldn’t prescribe any meds without a bunch of lab work. Her office has had the lab results since June 6. Today is June 13. That’s a full week.

After trying and trying and trying to get any useful information at all from the office over the phone, today I went and just sat in her office until I got help. That took about five hours. I have orders for more lab work, prescriptions, and a shiny new diagnosis:
Spondyloarthropathy

I’m still learning about it. It would explain the back pain. It isn’t instead of fibromyalgia, it’s in addition to FMS. It would explain the back pain and abnormal lab results better than just FMS and osteoarthritis.

Edit: She also mentioned “seronegative rheumatoid arthritis.” I’ve had a fever every time I’ve seen her, which has been pretty normal for me lately. I get tired, I have a fever. Despite the fact that my normal body temp has always been low.
