A Lesbian couple I know in Vermont has adopted and fostered a lot of special needs kids. Recently, they sued in Texas to have one of their adoptees’ revised birth certificate show both of them as parents. Here is the order they got:
The Honorable William Singletary has issued an order. In part it reads…“It is further ordered, adjudged and decreed that Defendants shall prepare a revised birth certificate for Plaintiff, listing his name as Taliesin Phillip Charles Goldstein Perdue and listing Martha Holly Perdue as “parent” and Cheri Lynn Goldstein as “parent”…Defendant shall deliver the revised birth certificate …within ten days of entry of this Order.”
Once in a while, things go the right way!
