Flowers Fighting Fibromyalgia!

Originally uploaded by ChatOmbre.

This is one flower of the lovely bouquet in my living room right now. Sam knows how much I value fresh flowers, so he usually brings them to me every week or two. Katie knows that I adore them, so she photographs them, allowing me to enjoy them even longer. Actually, the image in my blog header is from another bunch of flowers Sam bought for me. I arranged them and Katie photographed them.

This is one of my little joys, one of the things that distract me from the pain and discomfort of fibromyalgia and other diagnoses. What’s one of yours?

  1. I would have to say that fresh flowers hold the same meaning for me as well. Though I don’t experience FM, but sometimes my depression sinks in deeper than its usual place. When it does, flowers really help.

  2. I love to garden and have a large collection of hardy perennials. Now that it’s winter here, I am renewing my interest in indoor plants. My African violets are just gorgeous right now!

I just discovered your blog and am off to read more… 🙂
