Finally doing some of that “real update” stuff I meant to do weeks back. It’s just taking longer than planned, due to an uncooperative body.
I did something odd for me. I reversed a firmly held opinion/position and re-added some people.
I realized that I liked some people who still associate with Alice too much to let her keep me from reading their journals, or associating with them to whatever extent I and they choose. Am I still welcome in their lives? I don’t know and won’t assume that I am. But I miss them. I knew most of them before I knew her, even introduced her to some of them, so I see no reason to allow her to have any control over me.
I certainly didn’t ever intend to let her possible presence keep me from attending events I’ve enjoyed in the past, such as filks, cons, and poly events, and not reading people’s journals seems quite silly in comparison.
So yes, I re-added some people I removed from my reading list. If you choose not to add me, I won’t make a fuss.
