Yeah, Look, I’m Posting

Final­ly doing some of that “real update” stuff I meant to do weeks back. It’s just tak­ing longer than planned, due to an unco­op­er­a­tive body.

I did some­thing odd for me. I reversed a firm­ly held opinion/position and re-added some people.

I real­ized that I liked some peo­ple who still asso­ciate with Alice too much to let her keep me from read­ing their jour­nals, or asso­ci­at­ing with them to what­ev­er extent I and they choose. Am I still wel­come in their lives? I don’t know and won’t assume that I am. But I miss them. I knew most of them before I knew her, even intro­duced her to some of them, so I see no rea­son to allow her to have any con­trol over me.

I cer­tain­ly did­n’t ever intend to let her pos­si­ble pres­ence keep me from attend­ing events I’ve enjoyed in the past, such as filks, cons, and poly events, and not read­ing peo­ple’s jour­nals seems quite sil­ly in comparison.

So yes, I re-added some peo­ple I removed from my read­ing list. If you choose not to add me, I won’t make a fuss.
