I am experiencing Tech Lust. I can even justify purchasing a honkin’ big USB flash drive for myself, whenever the funds come available.
Sam’s drive should handle all this stuff, so I’ll have to settle for vicarious satisfaction for the moment.
The Ultimate USB Key talks about the apps the author normally keeps with him. Drive sizes have gotten big enough that they can do much more than carrying documents around.
I already knew about (and use) Portable Firefox, but the author has expanded to versions of Thunderbird, Sunbird, and NVU. As I hate webmail, the idea of being able to check my email from anywhere in Thunderbird gives me a major happy.
Oh—and the same guy did Portable OpenOffice.
