We’re still working on a real solution to having Sam comfortable at his PC. He got rid of his computer desk, as he wished to do, and replaced it with a small stand. He likes to sit leaning back with his keyboard in his lap but wants to be able to sit up with the keyboard on a stable surface, too. We may be able to find some sort of keyboard drawer that will work with the stand, but it is quite narrow.
Sitting back as he likes breaks desk chairs. Sitting in an armchair is preferable, but then he can’t really see his monitor.
I think he needs something that will hold the 19″ monitor and a keyboard drawer but swing over his chair and let him push it aside when necessary.
I know these things exist. I also know that they’re quite expensive. So are good LCD monitors, which would make it much easier to arrange what he needs.
I just want him comfortable. So we’ll keep looking. If you come across something that looks likely, please speak up!
