Right. The below, originally posted as a response to a comment kerrbearsmile left in fulano_de_tal‘s journal, might help to explain my fatigue and general absence:

::sigh. I’ve spent about 8 hours this week in three doctor’s offices (just my visits, not counting anything for the girl). Last week I spent about 4 hours in one doctor’s office and about 1 hour in another. That’s 13 hours in the last two weeks for me.

Katie sees a therapist once every week (1 hour) and has allergy shots twice a week (about 45 minutes each time IF we get there in the morning – otherwise about 90 minutes). She sees at least one doctor a month for monitoring of various chronic conditions. That’s 2.5 to 4 hours every week, at least 12 to 18 hours a month.

As soon as I manage to find a therapist with whom I have good rapport who will see me affordably, I’ll probably go back to weekly visits.

I also spent about 3 hours in a doctor’s office waiting with Sam for his appointment last week. That’s a monthly thing, plus (supposed to be) weekly visits to a therapist.

I’m not including drive times, which range from 15 to 90 minutes.

sambear took care of one of those drives for me today because he is the most incredible partner in the universe. He drove all the way to Lawrenceville to pick up the medication I needed—that’s AT LEAST an hour away from us without heavy traffic, and takes much longer during the main commuting hours (such as when he went).

Earlier this week I found out that my rheumatologist has a major Do-Si-Dos habit, so Sam also delivered a carton of cookies to her and collected payment for it.

Um, right. There’s something else. Probably lots of something else. I just can’t remember them.
