Naps & School

I’ve never been good at napping. Somehow, the idea of going to sleep in the middle of the day just seems too hedonistic for words.

Yet I did promise sambear that I would rest some today, so I tried.

Apparently, getting undressed and almost to sleep is a summoning spell. Every phone message you’ve left in the past month is suddenly returned. I gave up after the third call in less than 15 minutes.

On the plus side, I’ve been admitted to Floyd College as a transient student for next semester. Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 courses I planned to take are already full. Again, happiness—the geology syllabus was finally updated, and the SPSU science department head approved it as a lab science course. That one isn’t full (yet), although it’s close. The next registration period starts Thursday.

It’s (barely) possible that someone will drop out of the literature or history courses I need, which would be lovely. There will probably be many people ahead of me, though. I didn’t realize that the university system only gives each participating school a very limited number of “seats” for the ECore courses. They only had 4 places for one of them!
