It feels rather odd to say that, even. I can’t remember my last birthday party. Birthdays have pretty much always sucked for me. I’m trying very hard not to cancel it, because my introvert is yelling in the back of my mind, “No! It’ll go bad somehow! Cocoon instead!”
Anyway, shadowkatt went out to the movies with a group of homeschooled teens yesterday. They had a great time.
It was too parent-driven, though—the kids don’t really have a good way to interact with each other online for planning. I’ve tried starting a mailing list in the past and it fizzled. She seemed much more interested in the possibility of a web-based bulletin board/discussion forum. I wonder how difficult it would be to set one up? I haven’t ever investigated that sort of software before. frostjedi, I know that you’re doing it—I’d like to know more about what you’re using.
Gaming last night was fun. Seauclaire (my rogue character) is such a different person than Tarafëar (my bard character) that it’s fun to switch over and stretch. I’m starting to think that Jeremiah is going to play one antisocial character with different names in any game, though. Perhaps he doesn’t understand that Wolfen aren’t necessarily like that?
I need to go finish getting the house ready now. sambear went out to gather provisions and the kitten is going to help me here. She’s going over to a friend’s house to hang out with other teens later.
