Party!

It feels rather odd to say that, even. I can’t remem­ber my last birth­day par­ty. Birth­days have pret­ty much always sucked for me. I’m try­ing very hard not to can­cel it, because my intro­vert is yelling in the back of my mind, “No! It’ll go bad some­how! Cocoon instead!”

Any­way, shad­owkatt went out to the movies with a group of home­schooled teens yes­ter­day. They had a great time. 

It was too par­ent-dri­ven, though—the kids don’t real­ly have a good way to inter­act with each oth­er online for plan­ning. I’ve tried start­ing a mail­ing list in the past and it fiz­zled. She seemed much more inter­est­ed in the pos­si­bil­i­ty of a web-based bul­letin board/discussion forum. I won­der how dif­fi­cult it would be to set one up? I haven’t ever inves­ti­gat­ed that sort of soft­ware before. frost­je­di, I know that you’re doing it—I’d like to know more about what you’re using.

Gam­ing last night was fun. Seau­claire (my rogue char­ac­ter) is such a dif­fer­ent per­son than Tarafëar (my bard char­ac­ter) that it’s fun to switch over and stretch. I’m start­ing to think that Jere­mi­ah is going to play one anti­so­cial char­ac­ter with dif­fer­ent names in any game, though. Per­haps he does­n’t under­stand that Wolfen aren’t nec­es­sar­i­ly like that?

I need to go fin­ish get­ting the house ready now. sam­bear went out to gath­er pro­vi­sions and the kit­ten is going to help me here. She’s going over to a friend’s house to hang out with oth­er teens later.
