Okay, maybe a real post lat­er. Maybe. sam­bear is sick. shad­owkatt is sick. I don’t feel good, but I refuse to get sick, dammit. I need to get sam­bear out the door for his doc­tor’s appoint­ment, which I’d be dri­ving him to if it weren’t for the fact that I have a sick kid here too.

lit­tle­fire­fae and real_pochacco are at school, but they got there late because they just won’t get them­selves up and mov­ing with­out a par­ent nip­ping at their heels constantly.

Oh—yesterday we learned that lit­tle­fire­fae had forged sam­bear’s sig­na­ture on a dis­ci­pli­nary note from school, and we got a love­ly note from real_pochacco’s school let­ting us know that he has deten­tion Fri­day. Because he bit anoth­er stu­dent. This is a 14-year-old, not a 4‑year-old. And it isn’t the first time he’s bit­ten some­one, it’s just the first time he got caught. Yes, the oth­er kid was out of line and has deten­tion as well—but BITING?!

As none of the oth­er approach­es to explain­ing why it was so very wrong seemed to work, I point­ed out that bit­ing is unsan­i­tary and could lead to bro­ken teeth for him. Maybe that’ll stick. I rather doubt it, though.

(sigh)
