Who: 36-year-old female. Life partner to sambear. Mother to shadowkatt. Stepmother to real_pochacco and littlefirefae.
Description: 5’7″ and definitely plus-sized. Extremely pale white skin, hair currently red thanks to the power of cosmetology, eyes are green and usually hidden behind glasses.
Origins: Heredity is Scots/Irish/Cherokee and Goddess knows what else. Geographically I was born in Gadsden, Alabama but I’ve spent most of my life in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, with a brief sojourn in southeastern Georgia. I’m apparently related to the entire population of Alabama and most of north Georgia.
Where: In the aforementioned suburbs.
Doing What: I’m mostly The Mommy right now. I write. I stitch. I sing. I read. I’ve been down to do software QA and technical writing for a paycheck, among other geeky things. Oh—I’m going back to school in a few months to get an actual degree.
Alignments: Eclectic pagan and Unitarian Universalist with political views that don’t fit in with most other UUs as I’m a libertarian.
Tastes: Hmmm. Things that feel good against my skin. Clean, cold water. Dark chocolate. Lack of clutter. Harmony.
Distastes: Loud anything. Crowds. Strangers in my space. Melodrama. Liars.
Niggling little details: INFP sometimes, ISTJ last time I took a Keirsey test—the introvert part stays constant, lately. Scorpio with Taurus rising in Western astrology, Fire Horse in Chinese astrology. Lyric/dramatic soprano according to my long-ago voice teacher.
Lifelong bêtes noire: Wanting to do too so many things that I find it hard to get any of them finished. Recovery stuff—I suffer from chronic major depression and have PTSD with some mild OCD components. The origin of those is childhood sexual abuse.
Other nuisances: I have fibromyalgia, arthritis and PCOS. I seem to be allergic to most of the world’s contents (dust, mold, mildew, various pollens, etc.). Oh, and then there are the migraines. Ick.
