There are lyrics to supposedly ancient songs at the beginning of every chapter of Juliet McKenna’s The Gambler’s Fortune. I was waiting in the car for Katie last week, and a melody came to me for one of them.
The MP3 player I received for Mother’s Day is also a voice recorder, so I grabbed it to record the melody before I lost it. I didn’t think it worked.
I just plugged the player into my computer, so I can change out some of the songs—and the recording is there! Yay!
Now I just need to transcribe it, then sing it for someone else to see if it sucks or was unconsciously based on some other song.
Hey—I need a music icon.
