We acquired an HP 5510 OfficeJet All-in-One printer/fax/copier/scanner this past weekend. It uses a USB interface.
I’m really wanting to try a USB wireless print server on this thing. I don’t like having to be wired to anything. It seems ridiculous when using a laptop. We serve the laser printer from the Samba machine, but I seriously doubt that it would let us use all the nice toys on the printer if we did so via Samba.
I’m wondering, though— would doing so let me continue to use the scan/fax features of the printer from my PC? If so, I’m gonna get one of those babies.
If not—well, I’d like one, but it isn’t as appealing.
