Cream may ward off jellyfish stings
While I doubt Hilton Head’s economy is hurting in any way, this cream may help it. Around August (I think) each year, the jellyfish swarm to the extent that swimming is impossible without being stung. You go to the beach and see signs everywhere: BEWARE OF JELLYFISH.
We vacationed there each year when I was a teen, thanks to a company-owned house that was available to the management team at Daddy’s employer. The first time we were there during that time of year, we thought, “You’ve got to be kidding! Jellyfish aren’t anything to worry about. Sometimes you get stung, but it shouldn’t keep you out of the water!”
Uncle Buddy and Matt, I think it was, ran on into the surf—and ran right back out within minutes. Each had been stung several times by the jellyfish that were everywhere.
