I don’t buy cross-stitch magazines anymore. In fact, I rarely buy patterns, because I am SO far behind on actually stitching the ones I have!
I happened to see the cover of Cross Stitch Gold recently, though, and was all excited by what I thought was a design by Laurel Burch on the cover.
Nope – it’s by one of their staff designers, Vivienne Powers.
Tell me – is this not VERY derivative of Burch’s work? And there’s no mention of her at all!
I wish I could find one of Burch’s works that I remember because it is a cat in the same colors in the exact same pose as the fake Burch picture above.
