RIP Johnny Cash

RIP John­ny Cash.

His songs and those of Hank Williams, Sr., Loret­ta Lynn, Tam­my Wynette, and oth­ers were all around me as I grew up. That and the gospel music that Mom’s fam­i­ly sing when they gath­er have had an indeli­ble influ­ence on me, espe­cial­ly with regards to har­mo­ny. He’s the only one of that group that I’ve sought out to lis­ten to from time to time as an adult.
