Okay—I knew shadowkatt was pretty darned smart and thought she was doing quite well academically, but we got independent verification today.
Her California Achievement Test scores placed her in the 9th month of 12th grade in language arts – that’s as high as they can measure. Her math skills were suited to the beginning of the 11th grade. The extreme anxiety she has due to her father browbeating her about math facts did show up a little, but obviously she more than made up for it. This is a kid who was absolutely phobic about math a few years ago.
She’d just have finished 6th grade in public school 🙂
