Biographies

I’m asking for help from our Library Goddesses for someone on one of my mailing lists. She sent this request to the list, and I can’t find the answer:

“Back in the late 60’s when I was in second and third grade, I was addicted to a series of biographies about US women. I don’t remember what the series was called but the biographies included Betsy Ross, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jane Addams, Clara Barton…all illustrations were simple silhouettes. Now that I have three daughters of my own, I would love to have these books for them (and to take a trip down memory lane myself…) Does anyone else remember these books and, if you do, would you mind steering me in the right direction?”

Update: The series was Childhoods of Famous Americans. Thank you for your help!
