I have an SBQ to post, but it’ll have to wait. :-) I’m loving having Hope here for a visit. She’s great company, and certainly easy on the eyes. She’s been marvelously patient with my need to sleep so much and the fact that I’m dopey from fibro fogs and medications.
SBQ: Essential Needlework Gear
Yay! Another Stitching Bloggers’ Question: What items do you consider essential to your needlework that you keep in your stitching bag The pattern, fabric, and ring of floss cards for my current project, the scroll bars or Q‑Snaps or hoop or whatever I’m using (I seldom stitch in hand), and a long silver chain on which I […]
SBQ: Print it out or stitch from screen?
This week’s Stitching Bloggers’ Question is: When you stitch a pattern that you have downloaded do you print out the pattern or do you stitch directly from your computer screen? I don’t remember actually stitching any of the many patterns I’ve downloaded. Theoretically, though, I’m sure I’d print them out, and probably put the printout in a […]
Another One Down
I finished up week 3 of the semester, which means that we’re almost at the halfway point. I really, really want to get done with both classes this semester. I’ve had to drop the management class twice in the past, and I’m tired of it! The humanities class isn’t that bad, other than the “My Country […]
SBQ: What do you do with completed patterns?
This week’s question is the first of some recycled questions. It was first asked back in 2005, and I don’t think I even knew about SBQ then, so I doubt that I’ve answered it before. After you stitch a pattern or kit, what do you do with it? I’ve done so few kits that they hardly […]
SBQ: Stitching weaknesses?
What is your cross stitch weakness? (i.e., What do you have to have when you see it, even if you are supposed to be on the Wagon?) I’m supposed to go telling my weaknesses, in public? Well, I guess I’ve already exposed them, considering the lists on my site. I adore “different” patterns. If it jumps […]
Gone Already?
Wow. This has been a very short week. I’m sure it doesn’t feel that way to my poor Sam, but it does to me. That’s what happens when you sleep through most of it, I suppose. I’ve avoided acknowledging the possibility that Katie AND I have mono, but I have the same symptoms she does, […]
SBQ: Starting Over?
The Stitching Bloggers’ Question of the Week is: Do you have any projects that you have scrapped and started over? What made you start over from scratch? I can only remember one, and I restarted it at least twice, maybe three times. It was the Celtic Cross designed by Deb Davis for Y‑Knot Designs. I think […]
What do you want to read or hear?
I recorded some more pieces, but need to wait for Sam to “produce” them (clean them up and add appropriate music). One of them isn’t something I would have chosen myself, but Todd, who created Live Readings, asked to hear others read it. It turned out better than I thought it would. And it was […]
Still Thinging; Date Night
I am, in fact, still keeping up with Thing-a-Day! I need to go post over there, though. I do wish I could automatically cross-post, but if wishes were fishes and all that. I stitched tonight while Sam and I gamed. I also wrote a while, earlier. Sam and I have recently begun participating in a forum […]
