The Girl Is Back!

It was only a few days, but I missed her. She had fun, saw both sets of grand­par­ents and var­i­ous other kin, got fig pre­serves made just for her, went shop­ping, and other stuff I can’t recall at the moment. I expect that she’ll be catch­ing up on sleep for the rest of the week.

    I am sure it’s hard miss­ing her & her being away, but it’s impor­tant for her to have “grand­par­ent time” too. I am sure she had a blast!!

    My head knows that, and she’s been close to my par­ents all her life. My heart, though, is increas­ingly jeal­ous of time with her. She’s 17, and I feel like she’ll be spread­ing her wings and leav­ing the nest all too soon!
